Music - The Collective Sound & Guest Artists
Student bands from The Collective Sound Summer Music Academy will perform their original songs that they wrote and recorded at the 2008 summer camp. Resident artists, The Shimmies, Awesome Town and TID will perform at several stops as well.

These kids are from all over the country and have come together in just over 2 weeks to write, record, and tour their original song. The styles range across the board from folk to metal and always makes for an exciting show.

T.I.D
Tear It Down, also known as TID, will bring the thunder from down over in the oakland/berkley part of California where hippies and gangsters battle over street cred. That explains their sound, pretty much, not really at all. Come check them out, these former campers now counselors will change your life.

Awesome Town
Comprised of members of the The Shimmies, TID and the lone drummer from Nashville, Larry Howe. This band was formed at TCS 2008 and will rock to the vocal meanderings of junior counselor Kyle "Omalley" Pulskamp. |

The Shimmies
The Shimmies are long time friends of The Collective Sound, not only were Jimi and Stephen at the first camp, but they continue to lend their support as counselors and band directors each summer. They represent every thing good about music... and thats good.
